Helen's Homestay is located in Yubileyniy sleeping area within just 10 min drive from the airport and 15-20 minutes from the railway station. Pick up is free.

Getting from my place to downtown is easy. Bus stop is just outside the building. Minivans are running from Yubileyny area every 5-7 minutes and take you straight to any of Irkutsk sites.  A personalized tour around town by car can be arranged upon your wish  - especially in winter time. Walking in the temperatures below minus 20 C can be too challenging! :) 

The nearest outpost of Baikal is Listvyanka village located 70 km away from Irkutsk  near the source of Angara river.  It is a lovely little village which has managed to retain its unique Siberian exterior style, slow-pace rural life and water supplies direct from the lake. Add to this the astonishingly boundless sky and ocean-like view  from any spot. All that is easily reached by 50 min car drive along perfectly smooth Baikal highway. In summer the trip is a sheer pleasure if you go there by hydrofoil up the Angara river. One - day trip to Listvyanka gives you plenty of emotions: pleasant physical  exhaustion after few hours walk along the Lake shore and sharpened senses of yours after magnificent views and delicious  food are guaranteed.
